Class schedule

We offer classes from Monday through Saturday for various skill levels. Each class is roughly structured to contain a warm-up, practicing of techniques with a partner, and sparring. BJJ classes require a Gi. If you want to join a free try-out class, you can borrow a Gi from us or participate in shorts (without pockets) and a t-shirt. No Gi Grappling classes require shorts (without pockets) and a rashguard (or t-shirt if you join the No Gi class as a try-out class).

Below you can find a more detailed description of our classes and overview of our schedule.

Fundamentals class:
In these classes, we teach the basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. They are perfect for anybody who is taking their first strides in the sports. We make sure that we take it slow so everybody can follow. If you’re new to the sport and want to join in a free try-out session, the Fundamentals class on Tuesday or Friday evening is the perfect opportunity to do so! However, these classes are also an excellent opportunity for more advanced practitioners to deepen their understanding of the foundations of the sport and are guaranteed to elevate your game!

Advanced class:
In these classes, we cover the more advanced techniques and finer details of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. They are perfect for anybody who wants to take their game to the next level. They’re also an excellent way to get more training sessions in than the two Fundamentals classes a week and accelerate your progress in the art.

Live sparring:
This session consists of several rounds of positional and free sparring. They’re a perfect addition to the Fundamentals class, as they will allow you to put what you’ve learned in practice. Members who can’t make it to the Fundamentals class in time on Tuesday are welcome to join in on the Live Sparring session as well and get some good rounds in.

Competition class:
The perfect opportunity for anybody who wants to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The class consists of a short warm-up and drilling component, followed by several rounds of sparring. This class will definitely push your limits and improve your game!

No Gi Grappling:
This session is perfect for those who prefer to train without the gi. We focus on the intricacies of No Gi Grappling, which is considered a bit more dynamic and physical than the Gi game. During the No Gi class, we pay particular attention to how techniques apply to the No Gi versus the Gi game and how to deal with situations that are particular to the No Gi style. It is also the perfect class for those who are looking to compete in No Gi Grappling tournaments or in Mixed Martial Arts.
